Hi, I’m Kiki Lovelace (she/they)!
I’m a white, cisgendered American woman of European descent, born in Wisconsin, raised in New Jersey, and currently living on Ohlone Land in my beloved chosen home in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I’m also a Dream Home Owner, serial entrepreneur, mom of 2, former Forrest Yoga Guardian Mentor Teacher, a longtime member of San Francisco’s 1960's Go-Go Dancing Sweethearts The Devil-Ettes, and an Embodied Leadership & Success Mentor to my conscious small business owner & entrepreneur clients.
I started playing with the magical art of Time Creation over a decade ago when I was pregnant and in $300K of debt, working like a dog to build my brick-and-mortar Pilates & yoga studio business.
Now I work about 25 hours a week (the first three weeks of the month only) running two small businesses, and spend most of that time helping my clients build an extraordinary team that cares as much as they do so they can 2-5x their income while working 4 days a week or less.
But it wasn’t always this way…
I spent the first 2 years of small business ownership working 70-80 hours a week.
Like most small business owners, I thought I had to hustle and grind my way to eventual (possible?) success.
But everything changed when I got pregnant with my firstborn. I knew I couldn’t keep working those long hours.
And it all got really real during my 20-week ultrasound.
I remember the moment my world shifted like it was yesterday.
There I was lying on the table, seeing my baby on the ultrasound monitor.
It hit me like a ton of bricks…
This baby is real and she is coming in just a few short months.
I need to lean how to delegate instead of doing every GD thing myself.
And I need my business to be MUCH MORE profitable in order to support me and my family.
That very day I booked a meeting with my manager to train her on a specific task that had been weighing me down for months.
And so, my leadership journey began.
Although it was scary and challenging to let go (yes, I’m a recovering control freak), I began to see the possibility that I could create a small business that was profitable and sustainable without being hyper-vigilant 24/7.
In fact when I took my maternity leave, I saw that my business thrived without me babysitting it constantly.
The sales rolled in.
Payroll got submitted.
My manager found subs when someone called out sick.
And other team members delivered our services.
For me, this all seemed like a miracle.
But truthfully it was about hiring the right team members, creating a collaborative and creative team culture, and becoming a better leader and communicator.
Since then, the sales inside my wellness studio have TRIPLED, and my schedule has shrunk to about 12 hours per week.
Now I have time to focus on growing my coaching business.
I take a week off each month to focus on self-care and family time (and I often get my clearest visions during this time).
And I have plenty of time to walk the dogs each day, stretch out on my foam roller, work on decoration and home renovation projects inside our newly acquired dream house, and take my kids out for smoothie bowls after school every Friday.
I am living my dream - and it looks nothing like I thought it would.
I thought it would be about learning some secret marketing formula or scaling with Facebook ads…
I thought it would be about serving huge volumes of people with my offers.
I thought it would be about “buckling down and working harder.”
(I literally said that once to one of my coaches.)
But actually it was about becoming a clear-spoken, boundaried and warm leader.
It was about learning to attract incredible talent to my small businesses, and creating a high-functioning, non-toxic work environment for them to thrive in.
This is 3-Touch Leadership.
And I’m going to teach you exactly how to apply it to your small business inside the Embodied Boss Leadership Academy.
This is for female, queer and nonbinary Founders who are ready to stop doing the job of 5-7 humans because no one ever taught you how to delegate, to becoming the confident boss and leader of a trustworthy, drama-free dream team - finally working the four-day work week you built this business for.
My clients who’ve implemented 3-Touch Leadership into their small business have gone from working 55 hours a week to 25, from 80 hours a week to 40, and from 40 hours a week to only 4.
And they’ve done that while attracting absolute rock stars to their team - collaborators who are STOKED about the position, pay rate and hours, even if it’s part-time.
I can not wait to midwife you through this step-by-step transformation. The results will be even more spectacular that you or I can imagine, I’m sure.
Let’s do this!
